The Bouboulina Mansion
The 300-year-old Mansion of Bouboulina, with its Florentine carved ceiling in the Grand Salon, has functioned as a museum since 1991, when it was opened to the public by the descendant of Laskarina Bouboulina, Philip Demertzis-Bouboulis and his family, in their attempt to save the building from collapse.
Spetses Mini Marathon 7th-9th October 2016
The island of Spetses with its rich history and seafaring traditions plays host to the Spetses Mini Marathon for the 6th consecutive year. This year’s events take place from 7th to 9th October. With the island’s policy prohibiting the use of private cars, it is the ideal location for this great sporting event!
Battle Spetses – Armata
Each September, this spectacular event brings the scent of Revolution to the island of Spetses. Thousands of visitors flock to the island to witness the re-enactment of the Battle of Spetses in September 1822, known as Armata.
Hatziyiannis-Mexis Museum
The Museum of Spetses is housed in the mansion of Hatziyiannis- Mexis, one of the great leaders in the years of struggle during the battle for independence from the Ottoman Empire.
Spetses Classic Yacht Regatta 2016
This glittering event, now in its sixth consecutive year, took place over the long weekend of June 30th to July 3rd. Over 70 vessels participated this year, watched by crowds of visitors.
