In winter Spetses returns to calm and prepares for the new season. The approximately 4,000 permanent residents rested and regroup, so they are ready to welcome the\u00a0 thousands of visitors who will come in the summer.<\/p>\n

But the island is also an ideal destination in winter. For lovers of the island, it is the ideal time to enjoy the tranquility of walking the many footpaths through the hills, and quite contemplation of the sea.<\/p>\n

On those rare occasions when the sun does not shine, the island acquires a wild beauty that remains unforgettable. When the northwest wind blows, the Dapia’s jetty halts the waves and sends them crashing into the harbour, and when it blows southerly, the Poseidonion Square is flooded.<\/p>\n
